5G ESSENCE participated in the IEEE Conference on Network Function Virtualization and Software Defined Networks (IEEE NFV-SDN), 4th Workshop on Network Function Virtualization and Programmable Networks (http://nfvsdn2017.ieee-nfvsdn.org/), which took place in Berlin, Germany, on 6th-8th November, 2017. The aim of this workshop was to bring together researchers from industry and academia with experts already involved in 5G related projects, facilitating the exchange of ideas and helping each research group to take advantage of the results produced by other projects, improving focus of innovation and aligning towards common goals and milestones, thus maximising the overall impact.
In particular, the paper entitled “Using Small Cells for Enhancing 5G Network Facilities”, was presented, authored by I. Chochliouros, A. Kostopoulos, I. Giannoulakis, A. Spiliopoulou, M. Belesioti, E. Sfakianakis, A. Kourtis, E. Kafetzakis.
