5G ESSENCE Partner, Municipality of Egaleo (MoE), has organized the “ΑΙΓΑΛΕΩ SMART CITY 2020-2030” Workshop, held in Egaleo Athens Greece, on March 18, 2019.

The Workshop has been hosted at MoE’s Town Hall and there has been a significant representation by the Greek Governmental Authorities as well as by representatives from actual research programs and market actors.

In the scope of the Workshop, Dr. Ioannis Chochliouros (OTE) as the 5G ESSENCE project coordinator, has provided a detailed presentation about the scope of the project with emphasis given, inter-alia, to the Use Case 1 (“5G Edge Network Acceleration at a Stadium”) which is to be implemented in the MoE’s stadium.

The highlights of the Workshop were broadcasted by the National Broadcasting Corporation.
